The Living Legacy Foundation (LLF) is a private, family managed, not-for-profit philanthropic organization, that was established in 2018. The mission of LLF is to financially support organizations that are helping those struggling daily with the circumstances of poverty. This includes helping individuals and families, and in particular children, to obtain physical and mental health care and other services, such as food, shelter, clothing and education. LLF encourages innovative and caring solutions to problems in our communities by funding programs that make a life changing and impactful difference in the lives of those they support. We strive to be a force for constructive social change by initiating and investing in efforts that strengthen families and our communities. We value the ability to focus much of our work on those with the least opportunity. We purposefully seek to invest in efforts that enhance opportunity for those who have none. We very purposefully invest in programs that seek to improve the future of those who are disadvantaged and vulnerable. We have hope for the future and are extremely blessed to have the opportunity to walk alongside so many doing such incredible work.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Richard Hutcheson, Living Legacy Foundation CEO

Alisha Ballard, Living Legacy Foundation President/Executive Director

Alisha Ballard is the President and Executive Director of Living Legacy Foundation (LLF). LLF’s mission is to positively impact the lives of those who lack access to the resources and opportunities to realize their dreams.

Alisha joined forces with music industry powerhouse Linda Perry to co-found EqualizeHer, an initiative whose goal is to achieve equal representation of women across all sectors of the music industry, from recording studios to stages to board rooms. EqualizeHer’s mission is to open more doors for women so they can thrive in the music industry while helping others do the same. The initiative is also focused on generating awareness about gender disparity within the music industry while working with organizations to align efforts to further inspire, support and create greater opportunities for young women.

Alisha is also co-founder of Inherit the Music (ITM) together with rock band Kings of Leon. ITM believes that music has the ability to enrich the lives of students in the classroom, their future careers, and beyond. By providing young people with access to music experiences and education, ITM aims to empower the next generation of musicians to achieve their dreams.

Alisha holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Mount Saint Mary’s University. She is happily married to her husband, Dan, a very talented and accomplished musician and owner of Gold Pacific Studios in Newport Beach, CA. Alisha also loves spending time with her two daughters. She is happiest when traveling the world or enjoying a concert from the front row.

“The path to a career in music isn’t an easy one, this is especially true for women. I am proud to be working with Linda to change the dynamic by providing smart and talented women who aspire to make their mark in the music industry with the support they need to reach their true potential.” -Alisha Ballard, Rolling Stone March 9, 2022
